Bio on Ken Schultz
The Flying Fool
Ken Schultz started performing during his
sophomore year in high-school after being inspired by jugglers
working at festivals and on the streets in California. He taught
himself to juggle, walk slack rope, ride unicycle, and eat fire.
After gaining experience performing in the eastern states and
mid-west, Ken then headed towards San Diego, California and
started street performing full time, living strictly on tips,
while building his performance and juggling skills. During that
time, he was able to work with some of the top variety
performers in the nation. Ken brought his physical comedy skills
back to Chicago in the summer of 1984 to work the King Richard's
Renaissance festival. Since that time, Ken performs over 300
shows per year all over the U.S. and Canada. Ken is a full-time
professional juggler, performing at colleges, corporate events,
and festivals. He has opened for such notable acts as comedian
Judy Tenuta, singer Neil Sedaka, and actor George Lindsey
"Goober" of the Andy Griffith Show and has been on the
television show "The Untouchables" and also the
"Bozo Show".
